Sese Mehlala

Sese is 24 years old and lives in Cape Town. She is an HR intern at CPT Press. For many years, she struggled to get an accurate diagnosis of the cause of her vision loss. She was diagnosed with advanced keratoconus at the end of 2021, by which time she was severely visually impaired. She also has entropion, which causes her eyelids to turn inwards, so her eyelashes were running against her corneas. Custom fit scleral lenses restored her sight and removed constant discomfort causes by her lashes. Sese exudes gratitude and kindness. She is paying this gift forward by helping our team raise awareness about keratoconus, sharing her story with at every opportunity.
